It’s only fitting that the historic Campaign UW: Creating Futures would wrap up with a record-breaking year of private support to the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business. During the past fiscal year – July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 – the Foster School received more than $13 million in contributions and another $50 million in commitments.
These gifts came from more than 4,600 individuals, companies and foundations - a strong community of supporters.
In total, the eight years of Campaign UW saw more than 13,000 contributors to the Foster School, providing more than $181 million to support facilities, programs, faculty and students.
Some early returns on investment?
1. Construction has begun on PACCAR Hall, the spectacular new home of the Foster School. Next up: phase two facility to replace Balmer Hall.
2. Increased endowments have enabled the Foster School to hire 13 exceptional full-time faculty members in the past two years alone.
3. Foster School scholarships will support nearly 400 undergraduate, MBA and PhD students this year.
4. A new center for leadership and strategic thinking is in the works, while existing centers for global business, entrepreneurship and economic development have innovated, expanded and enhanced the student experience.

We appreciate every benefactor who invests in the Foster School of Business, and the leaders we are developing. Futures are created at the Foster School. The campaign may be closed, but the transformation has only begun.
Sincerely,
