Gerald Cormick, Ph.D.

GERALD W. CORMICK is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Washington's Graduate School of Public Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. and Master of Business Administration from the School of Business Administration at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.  He has taught at Washington University and the University of New Brunswick.

Jerry Cormick is Past President and Founder of the Mediation Institute, a national organization offering mediation and other settlement assistance in natural resource planning and other public and private sector disputes. He is an active consultant and special advisor to government and various businesses on mediation issues including disputes over noise from operations at Seattle-Tacoma international Airport and conflicts involving the harvest of ancient forests, the Florida everglades and the Canadian governmental and tribal issues.

He has an international reputation and practice in the settlement of disputes and his writings have been published widely on the practice and ethics of negotiation and mediation.
