Robert M. Bowen , Ph.D.

Professor Bowen teaches financial reporting and managerial accounting in the Executive MBA program, where he has won over 25 “Excellence in Teaching” awards from graduating students. His research centers on the use of accounting information by investors, analysts and managers. He has led executive education programs and engaged in strategic planning for firms in the Seattle area.
Jarrad Harford, Ph.D.
Professor of Finance, Marion Ingersoll Endowed Professor

Professor Harford specializes in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, payout policy, and corporate governance. He has authored numerous articles on these topics and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Financial Economics. He has won numerous teaching awards, including the IS MBA Award for Teaching Excellence.
Jane Kennedy, Ph.D.
Deloitte & Touche Professor of Accounting
Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington
Professor Kennedy teaches financial reporting to MBA students. In 2004 she received the prestigious PACCAR Award for Teaching Excellence. Her research has centered on behavioral decision theory and cognitive psychology as it relates to uses of financial information. She has held visiting positions at INSEAD (France) and Indiana University, and has served as Chair of the Accounting Department at the University of Washington.
