Bruce J. Avolio, Professor of Management and Executive Director of Center for Leadership and Strategic Thinking

After becoming one of the top scholars on transformational leadership, Bruce has spent the past seven years devising evidence-based models and methods to accelerate the development of authentic, ethical and transformational leadership. Most recently directing the University of Nebraska’s Global Leadership Institute, he has supported the launch and validation of development programs the world over, shaping leaders of schools, corporations, non-profits, governments, hospitals and military units. At Foster, Bruce will channel his expertise and entrepreneurial focus into creating the new Foster School Center for Leadership and Strategic Thinking.
