MBA Global Programs
The Global Business Center’s mission is to build global business expertise among UW Foster School of Business students. Our center offers a wide range of programs for graduate students, such as the Global Business Program Certificate, the Global Business Forum, Global Business Study Tours, and MBA Exchange Programs. Through our federally-funded CIBER grant and corporate sponsorships, we provide students with experiences that take their studies beyond the classroom and out across the globe.
Global Business Program Certificate - Declare a specialty within your MBA and demonstrate to future employers your commitment to working internationally.
Global Business Forum - Take this 1-credit weekly speaker series that features executives from private sector companies and non-profit organizations to network and learn what "global business" means in very real terms.
Global Business Study Tours - This unique business and educational program provides UW graduate students the opportunity to experience business and culture first-hand through personal meetings with executives, company visits, and cultural excursions.
Exchange Programs - Spend a term at one of the MBA exchange program destinations. You will take courses in English at a highly-ranked school, expand your business network, and earn credit toward your Foster MBA.
International Courses - Students interested in global business can select from a variety of elective courses in the Foster School, at an MBA exchange partner school, or in another UW graduate department.
Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition - This business plan competition invites students from around the world to find creative and commercially sustainable ways to reduce poverty through new business development.
Business Language Study - MBAs have the opportunity to enhance or develop foreign language skills by enrolling in a UW foreign language course, either during the academic year or in one of the summer intensive foreign language classes.
