Lavin Entrepreneurship Program


Are you an entrepreneur at heart? Does the idea of running your own company intrigue you? In the Lavin Program, we're growing the next generation of entrepreneurial talent.

The UW Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship combines hands-on learning and curriculum to give Lavin students the experience, skills, and know-how that will be a foundation for their future business ventures.

Lavin Students:

  • Graduate with a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship
  • Gain valuable experience starting or running a company
  • Have a paid summer internship in an early-stage company
  • Meet and learn from some of the region's top company founders and entrepreneurs
  • Join a team and compete in the Business Plan Competition and/or the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge
  • Learn entrepreneurial skills in a safe, educational environment
  • Select their own mentors from the Buerk Center's entrepreneurial Board of Advisors
    and the broader community.

    Interested in being part of the Lavin Entrepreneurship Program? Any incoming University of Washington undergraduate student, including Running Start or transfer students, can apply. Deadline to apply is in early fall quarter. Learn more.
