Team Preparation
Who Can Participate?
Any student team from a college or university in the Pacific Northwest can participate in the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge. Students must be enrolled in degree-seeking programs. Non-students may be advisors and members of the team and assist in preparing for the UW Challenge; however, they may not present at the UW Challenge or be in a CEO role if a company has been established. Teams must be student-driven, and the ideas or innovations or technologies or applications presented at the Challenge must be the product of the teams’ work.
We highly encourage cross-disciplinary teams and organize several networking events so that students can meet and mingle. Visit the Timeline webpage to learn more.
Prototype Funding
If you’re planning on participating in the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge, and from Washington State, you may apply for Prototype Funding late November until December 16. This funding is for student teams to help produce their prototypes. Learn more about how to apply for prototype funding.
Workshops and Info Sessions
Visit the Timeline webpage to see the schedule of workshops and information sessions designed for students/teams interested in participating in the UW Challange. More information will be added.
Resource Nights
Every Thursday night during winter quarter, CIE offers Resource Nights to help teams prepare for both the Environmental Innovation Challenge and the Business Plan Competition. All teams are encouraged to attend.
