Undergraduate Scholarships
The UW Foster School Business and Economic Development Center (BEDC) provides scholarships to students of color and others who are interested in not only completing their business education but also in contributing to Washington’s economic future.
BEDC Fellowships – Each year the center awards these fellowships ($2,500 in scholarship funding) to students who are interested in becoming leaders in the Young Executives of Color Program. Business and Economic Development Center fellows work with 45-50 high school students of color in a nine-month program to help them prepare to be successful in business school.
Association of Black Business Students Endowed Scholarship – Awarded annually at the Celebration of African American Business Achievement, the scholarship recipient works with the center to support the growth of African American-owned businesses in Washington.
Asian/Pacific Islander Endowed Scholarship – Awarded annually, the scholarship recipient works with the center to support the growth of Asian or Pacific Islander American-owned businesses in Washington.
Rotary Club of Seattle Scholarship – Awarded annually, the scholarship recognizes students who achieve academic excellence and demonstrate financial need.
Ernest I.J. Aguilar Endowed MBA Scholarship – Awarded annually, the scholarship recognizes Latino students pursuing their MBA at the University of Washington. Recipients work with the Business and Economic Development Center on programs that give back to the community.
Scott Robertson Endowed Scholarship – Awarded annually, the scholarship was created to help students who demonstrate an understanding of the value and importance of an inclusive and diverse environment and who could benefit from mentoring by the BEDC.
