Summer Internship Program
Business and community organizations: Gain fresh perspectives and UW Foster School business consulting strategy from the Business and Economic Development Center student internship programs.
Construction Contractors
Each summer undergraduate business students provide 100-120 hours of consulting services to minority- and women-owned construction contracting firms in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. Each intern maintains a portfolio of three companies. We look for firms who have at least one year of operations. During the application process, companies submit recent financial statements and an application. We typically have more companies interested in having an intern than we have interns so this is a competitive program.
Application process begins in April each year. Interns work from June to September.
Tribal Enterprise Internships
MBA students spend 12 weeks with a tribal enterprise to conduct research, complete feasibility studies and develop business plans geared toward growing job opportunity for tribal members. Interns work with tribes in Washington and Oregon. Funding for this internship is provided by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Application process begins in January or February each year. Interns work from June to September.
