Diversity is to business in the 2000s what globalization was to business in the 1980s and technology was in the 1990s. Diversity is becoming a major contributor to business competitiveness and the bottom line. Truly successful companies embrace diversity in leadership and in the workforce, serve diverse customers, and have a diverse supply chain.

The UW Foster School Business and Economic Development Center immerses MBA and undergraduate students in minority-owned, women-owned small business environments where they learn to be successful leaders in managing a multicultural work force and reaching a diverse customer base. Businesses flourish. Students learn to lead while making a difference.
