YEOC Class of 2011-2012
Program History

YEOC started with 36 high school students representing 17 high schools and now has grown to 141 participants representing over 66 high schools. Nearly sixty percent of the YEOC students will be among the first in their family to attend college and use this program as a vehicle to introduce them to business opportunities and the University of Washington. Furthermore, the cumulative impact this program has had with nearly 500 students and 51 student mentors to date is even greater.

YEOC’s reach extends outside the boundaries of Washington State as YEOC alumni are enrolled at numerous prestigious institutions such as the following, but not limited to the list below:

     •  George Washington University
     •  Howard University
     •  Stanford University
     •  Swarthmore College
     •  University of California Los Angeles
     •  University of Notre Dame
     •  University of Pennsylvania

These exemplary students have a skill set which will take them from successful students to career professionals.
