Teaching Methods

The Technology Management MBA Program emphasizes real-world learning you can put to work right away. That’s why our teaching methods emphasize case studies, team work and class participation.

Cases
Hands-on case analysis allows TMMBA students to learn about real world business situations and how to best evaluate the situations by applying concepts and strategies acquired throughout the program.

Lecture & Discussion
Stimulating classroom exchanges bring together lectures and discussion for an active, participatory environment that energizes the learning process. The rich dialog among students and professors provides a platform to share perspectives about the theories, case studies and lecture materials.

Teamwork
Teamwork drives the learning process in the Technology Management MBA Program. Designed for the fast-paced technology sector, the program is organized in a way that is rigorous, engaging and group-oriented. Small study groups draw on each member’s diverse academic background, occupation and company experience to maximize learning.

Grades and Class Participation
Students receive grades in each class based on a mix of individual assignments and group projects. Class attendance, advanced preparation, and participation in classroom discussions are all factors in determining course grades. To maintain comparability across courses, faculty follow a general guideline for grading; grades have an approximate median of 3.5 but may be adjusted as necessary.
