TMMBA Class of 2009 students visit Nav N Go in Hungary.
TMMBA International Study Tour
The twin forces of technology and globalization bring tremendous challenges and untapped opportunities for businesses. Learn how to navigate an increasingly flat world by examining another global viewpoint. Themes of globalism, international strategy, macroeconomics and cross-cultural communication are infused throughout the TMMBA curriculum.
But the real hands-on exposure to globalization happens the spring of your second year when you take part in the optional International Study Tour. This trip broadens your business knowledge base and immerses you in a different culture. You’ll visit companies, tour manufacturing facilities, and meet business leaders and government officials.
The 2010 International Study Tour
This spring students will travel to learn the dynamics of international business while enjoying the rich historical, cultural, and aesthetic dimensions of two “world class” cities – Santiago and Buenos Aires.
Where in the world have we gone previous years?
In 2009, TMMBA traveled to Central Europe over spring break on the 10-day International Study Tour. Students met with executives during company visits, learned about local history on guided city tours, and even had time to sample the local nightlife. Companies visited were Nav N Go, Paccar Parts, NABI, Magyar Telecom, Slovnaft, Microsoft, Ruckl Crystal, Czech National Bank, and CzechINVENT.
On past trips, TMMBA students have visited France, Japan, China and Brazil.
