Team Xylemed describes the Business Plan Competition as an exhausting but amazing experience that demystifies the startup world and gives you the opportunity to really push yourself. In the video below they share their insights into the competition and how they applied their TMMBA courses.
Put your knowledge to the test when you compete.
As an extension of your learning, Technology Management MBA students can compete in the Business Plan Competition through the Arthur W. Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship. The competition provides a forum in which students can present new business concepts to local venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and investors.
The Business Plan Competition is a natural extension of the TMMBA entrepreneurship class, but also ties in with courses in strategy, finance, marketing and more. Taking part in the competition gives you a chance to:
- Pitch an idea, maybe even one you’ve developed as part of your study group
- Partner with TMMBA students and students from other programs
- Attend workshops
- Experience funding in the venture capital world
- Win up to $25,000 in funding
The Business Plan Competition is the marquee event for the Buerk Center. In the past 15 years, the competition has awarded over $1,300,000 in prize money to more than 100 student companies. Learn more about the Business Plan Competition.
