Retail Internships
Students seeking a certificate in the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business Retail Management Program must complete a retail internship — a full-time, 10-12 week paid position. Students earning a Pharmacy Management certificate complete their internships at retailers with pharmacies.
Internships are usually scheduled in summer. Upon returning to campus in fall quarter, students take MKTG 477 (Merchandise Acquisition and Management), and in winter quarter MKTG 478 (Retail Merchandising and Design Management) to enhance their internship experience and complete their Retail Management Program certificate requirements.
