Ming Fan was promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure, effective September 16, 2009.

Mark Hillier was awarded “Daytime MBA Core Professor of the Quarter” for spring 2009.

Ted Klastorin
, along with co-author Gary Mitchell, was awarded the Best Paper (Operations) Published in IIE Transactions for their paper, “An Effective Methodology for the Stochastic Project Compression Problem,” IIE Transactions, vol. 39, No. 19 (October 2007).

Ted Klastorin was a nominee for the Doctoral Student Association (DBSA) award, which recognizes faculty members for his or her outstanding contribution to Ph.D. student mentoring.

Ted Klastorin is pleased to announce that the Global Integrated Systems Engineering (GISE) is a finalist for the Innovations in Curriculum Award given by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) at their Annual Meeting, May 31-June 3, 2009. Ted is part of the original group that designed and implemented the Global Integrated Systems Engineering (GISE) Program, and one of three primary faculty who teach the program, which is a collaborative effort of the Foster School of Business, the College of Engineering, and the Boeing Company.

Shaosong Ou was awarded the “Information Systems & Operations Management Undergraduate Instructor of the Year” for the 2008-2009 school year.

Shaosong Ou was promoted to Senior Lecturer, effective September 16, 2009.

Anjana Susarla, along with co-authors K.Ravindran and V.Gurbaxani, won the International Network of Social Networks Analysis 2009 Microsoft Prize for their paper, “Network Governance in IT Outsourcing.”

Yong-Pin Zhou and Yong Tan have been appointed Associate Editors on Management Science's new editorial board, while continuing their Associate Editor duties at Manufacturing and Service Operations Management (MSOM) and Information Systems Research (ISR).
